Gastroenterology at Montefiore Einstein Celebrates 30th Anniversary of Day in the Gut Conference
Gastroenterology at Montefiore Einstein hosted its 30th annual “Day in the Gut” conference last spring, bringing together leading authorities in gastroenterology and hepatology to review and discuss the current issues and controversies in the field.
On April 3, 2025, Gastroenterology at Montefiore Einstein held its 30th annual one-day conference, titled “Day in the Gut,” which provided an in-depth review and discussion of the latest issues and controversies in gastroenterology. Designed for gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and other healthcare providers, this continuing medical education (CME) conference featured research-based presentations by thought leaders and experts in gastroenterology and hepatology.
The full-day live course highlighted current updates and evidence-based approaches for the management of non-celiac gluten sensitivities, including diagnostic criteria and tailored treatment strategies, recent advancements in the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), and practical steps for integrating these updates into clinical care. The latest updates in cirrhosis and liver transplantation, eosinophilic esophagitis, C. difficile and the microbiome, new therapies in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), resistant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and alcohol-related liver disease were also reviewed.
The “Day in the Gut” conference underscored Montefiore Einstein’s leadership and commitment to advancing education, research, and clinical care in gastroenterology and to ensuring that healthcare professionals remain at the forefront of patient care. As one of New York State’s largest CE-accredited providers, Montefiore Einstein designated this live activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
