Dr. Ruby Greywoode Honored as 2025 New York City Take Steps Healthcare Hero

Take Steps is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s largest, most impactful fundraising event, where we come together to raise funds to accelerate research, advance treatments, and provide programs and support to improve the quality of life for those living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

On June 12th, the NYC Take Steps walk will bring together 800+ IBD supporters, patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals & corporate partners as we share one path forward: to Mt. Remission and IBD cures.

Each year’s walk honors individuals who have made a sizable impact on the IBD community. Take Steps Honored Heroes are the heart and soul of our walks, ambassadors for the Foundation, and champions in our journey to cures.

This year we are pleased to announce Dr. Ruby Greywoode as the 2025 New York City Take Steps Healthcare Honored Hero. Dr. Greywoode has been a strong supporter of the IBD community and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation for many years. Her work as a gastroenterologist and clinical research in optimizing IBD outcomes through psychosocial interventions represents the type of leadership the IBD community needs in the healthcare space. Dr. Greywoode has served on the Foundation’s National Scientific Advisory Council (NSAC) and has been a vocal supporter of IBD support within Montefiore Einstein’s programs. We are thrilled to honor Dr. Greywoode’s dedication and partnership in our quest for IBD cures.
