The award was bestowed by the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology, a consortium of ophthalmology chairs, resident and medical student educators.

In early 2021, the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO) named Jamie B. Rosenberg, MD, their Medical Student Educator of the Year, an award co-funded by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).

Each year, AUPO elects the top resident and medical student educator in the country for this highly prestigious and respected award.

In recognition of her incredible contributions to ophthalmology education at Montefiore Einstein and beyond, Dr. Rosenberg was honored with the award at the 2021 AUPO meeting. Dr. Rosenberg was also awarded the 2021 Harry H.
