Marina Reznik, MD, MS, Awarded $4M Grant for Asthma Care Innovation
Marina Reznik, MD, MS, was awarded an R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the research project entitled “Promoting Asthma Guidelines and Management through Technology-Based Intervention and Care Coordination in Clinics and Schools (PRAGMATIC-S)” (09/15/25 to 6/30/30; total costs: $4,091,583) will address multiple barriers to adherence by bridging primary care and schools, ensuring delivery of guideline-based asthma care to urban children across these settings thereby improving adherence to therapy and clinical outcomes.
The goal of this cluster randomized controlled trial (RCT) is to address multiple barriers to adherence by bridging primary care and schools, ensuring delivery of guideline-based asthma care to children across these settings thereby improving adherence to therapy and clinical outcomes. A total of 420 children (4-12 years) with persistent or uncontrolled asthma and one caregiver will be enrolled at the time of the visit from 18 Montefiore Health System outpatient practices and followed for 12 months.
