Elizabeth Alderman, MD, and Jennifer Davila, MD, Attended the World Federation of Hemophilia Pilot Program

Elizabeth Alderman, MD, and Jennifer Davila, MD, were invited by the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) to participate in a pilot program aimed at establishing clinics in countries to identify and treat women and girls with bleeding disorders. Both doctors lead the CHAM Adolescent Menstrual Program (CHAMP), founded in 2019 with the same objective. Drs. Alderman and Davila, along with WFH representatives, met with local authorities and medical experts at Hospital San Pablo Materno Infantil in Asuncion, Paraguay. This meeting resulted in a commitment to create Paraguay’s first interdisciplinary referral center for the treatment of women and girls with bleeding disorders.
