Contributing to the Future of Breast Cancer Care with Cryoablation

Cryoablation is a quick, targeted treatment that freezes and destroys tumors through a tiny incision, preserving healthy tissue and speeding recovery. The FDA expanded cryoablation eligibility in 2025 after strong evidence provided in part by Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center’s help in leading the ICE3 Trial, which reported a 5year local recurrence of just 4.3% following cryoablation—allowing many patients to avoid surgery and experience shorter downtime, less scarring, and fewer disruptions to daily life.
